Since 1988, Supinfocom has been creating high-level creatives perfectly suited to the 3D image industry, in the Animation and Digital Visual Effects sectors. To achieve this, RUBIKA relies on an innovative pedagogy, based on practice and polycompetence.

The Supinfocom program includes five years of apprenticeship and leads to the production of a short animated film, in real production conditions. Throughout their training, the students exercise their skills on practical projects, during which they will occupy several functions. This approach by the project is a valuable asset in their future career. At the end of the program, students master all stages of production of a 3D animation project: preproduction (scenario, storyboard, layout2d and 3D, graphic line), production (3D modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, rigging , animation, FX / VFX, compositing), postproduction (calibration, sound, video editing).

Team productions and intensive weeks are systematically supervised by active professionals.

The short films of Supinfocom are acclaimed by professionals around the world , including the most prestigious animation festivals (MIFA Annecy, SIGGRAPH, ITFS Stuttgart ...).

3D computer graphics is now present in many areas : animation, digital special effects, advertising, television, industrial design and video games. French animation also has real export success and employs more than 5,000 people a year.

3D ANIMATION

The 3D animator intervenes on animated films or advertisements using synthetic images . Endowed with an artistic sense and particularly developed observation, it implements on computer, the expressions and movements which will give life to the characters, creatures and objects present in the film.
The 3D Animation specialization is for enthusiasts of digital creation and 3D animation . To reach the expert cycle, Rubika's students are confronted with challenging and rigorous work. They must also justify a solid graphic, artistic and cinematographic culture.
Animation is a sector of excellence with recruitment on the rise . More and more media are now calling for animation, including characters. Depending on the skills and specialities of the students, the opportunities are varied: 3D animator, layout artist, setup artist, character designer, concept artist, artistic director ...

FX / VFX special effects

Besides being a technician and artist, the FX artist also designs special effects using different 3D modeling tools . The work of the FX artist is not limited to "rendering" or "compositing". He must also watch the rhythm of the scenes, so that the director's vision is perfectly restored.
Special FX / VFX Specialization is for image and special effects enthusiasts . It requires creativity, innovativeness, rigor and meticulousness. Students wishing to move in this direction must also justify a solid graphic and cinematographic culture.
Both in France and internationally, the digital special effects sector includes a wide range of professions where the demand is exponential : compositing artist, VFX supervisor, matte painter, tracking artist, calibrator.


TRAINING PLAN

1 THE CYCLE BACHELOR ANIMATION BAC + 3

With a duration of 3 years , the Cycle Bachelor Animation 3D is interested in the fundamental cultural and artistic learning, in the development of creative techniques and in the handling of the tools allowing to realize 3D animated films. A large part of the training is also devoted to management and skills, with practice in many group projects.

ADMISSION

The Bachelor Animation 3D is open to holders of a bachelor's degree, all series combined. Students are selected by competition, motivational interview and study of their portfolio.

2 THE SUPERIOR CYCLE ANIMATION BAC + 5

The Cycle Superior 3D Animation & Special Effects (Bac + 5) strengthens the expertise of students and prepares them for professional insertion into high-level animation studios. At the end of the course, students obtain the title of Digital Director (certified by the State Level 1 - RNCP) .

ADMISSION

The Cycle Superior 3D Animation & Special Effects is open to holders of a BAC + 3 specializing in the field of digital creation, within the limits of available seats. Admission is by competition, interview and study of the portfolio.
